Hello fellow hobbyists.

This is what you heard today:

KIPM Episode #23 "He Who Evolved"

followed by a Stan Freberg Jingle: "Who listens to radio"

Then an episode of "Mystery Science Radio 2003" with a tribute to Dr. Who

There you have it. Hope you all enjoyed this segment.

CSR

Watch who you're calling a "Hobbyist", Bub. I dodged bears, armed weed growers, the FCC, and lost at least a half gallon of blood to biting insects to entertain those kind of characters. I was a Radio Hooligan and don't you forget it.

Max was a buddy of mine. I think I helped him calibrate the way his antenna was directed for this particular episode via those newfangled cellphones from hundreds of miles away, him wherever he was and me somewhere else. Any other questions? Well don't ask because I'm not tellin'.

A show a week for three years? That's tough to pull off for three months when you take into account what life throws at you. Kudos.

I didn't hear you tonight, but I noticed the low audio last week. Are you monitoring your audio w/ a reliable SDR or friend in your target area? Modulation meters can give false readings.

Yeh and with 60W you can drive one of those valve things to generate KW's.

Unbelievable this design being published in 2012!

Str.

Settle down, it's 2023. I bet they've got one that will do 65 watts by now? And it's "yeah" not "yeh". "Yeh" is a noise you make when you're preparing to throw up, followed by "yeeackkk!"

Hams in bed with the Chi-Com's, it figures. As a Norman lord said to one of his captains during the suppression of the Cathar Heresy in the south of France when the man asked the silly question, "My Lord, how do we tell the good Christian's from the Cathars?" The Lord answered with Solomon like wisdom, "Kill them all. God knows his own."

Trump's talk of firing squads and public executions if he wins a second term? Preparing the public for the "Slaughter of The Hams." I'm glad I was never foolish enough to apply for a license.

2132 UTC Dj Coming out of the movie / waking up Sunday morning.
2140 UTC Off.

S-9 Direct thanks for the show pls Qsl thanks  ;D

Alan, you heathen QSL ho's! Get the man's name right!

Radio Bob singing. Boy howdy, that must have been a treat? The closest I ever came to hearing that was when Bob recorded one of his show's at the wrong bit rate. A 45 minute show in ten minutes. It sounded like the Chipmunks on meth.

Let's see the Lula maildrop shut down in'02. This show is at least 21 years old and the box op is dead, I'd say the chances of getting a QSL for this one is pretty slim unless Max reads this and sends it in by Penguin Express from his South Sea's hideaway

Timtron will play radio in open slots on WBCQ, but he normally talks a lot.

Discovery Channel logo?

That doesn't really inspire confidence in the antenna, does it?

If only they would have put a penguin on it.

Solid S-9 signal, Bud here at Marie's place in N.Utah. The first number I heard was a little tinny, but that's old vinyl for you, the two that have followed sounded great.

Thanks for sending that Louis Jordan tune out to Zeeky for Valentine's Day. We can't have him feeling unloved and unwanted.

Where'd I put that sack of cracklin's and my hot sauce?

One of my favorite EC and The Attractions songs. There weren't a lot of New Wave songs about Oliver Cromwell.

Moldova is expecting trouble from Russia. Moldova was part Romania from the fall of the Tsar in 1917 until the Red Army took it in 1944. After the end of WWII Moldova became part of the USSR. When the USSR collapsed, Moldova declared independence except for a small enclave called "Transnistria" along the Ukrainian border. It calls itself a state but no one recognizes as such except for the Russians who have about twenty-five thousand troops there.

The Moldovan govt. collapsed last weekend and the folks now in temporarily in charge are worried Russia and it's allies are going to make a move on Moldova. As the language of Moldova is Romanian, I suspect that's why RRI is on the extra frequency.

We won't shoot down anymore of your Zeppelins, Big Guy, please don't sic your giant sea penguins on us.
