Good question. Who knows, they're crazy.

They also need to update the timezone file in Red Star OS.

2348Z Very weak, can just barely make out music above the noise.

9730 is good here, 11800 is better. That for the broadcast at 0000-0100 UTC.

4208
How did you etch the board?  Looks pretty good.

Ha.

When I saw the link, I thought another sat tracker. Went to it and just about had a stroke when I first saw the map.

Shortwave Broadcast / Re: Radio Australia 9580 1403z 7/26/15

Caught them this morning (Aug 1) for a little bit on 9580.

Been listening to them since 1988 when I bought my Sony ICF-2010. They've changed a bit in 27 years.

Around the same time that they're on 9580, they're also on 12085 and sounds good (also on 12065, but not as strong).

Huh? / Re: My thoughts so far on Art Bell's new show
« on: July 26, 2015, 0054 UTC »
I like the show, but I also really like that he's on four SW frequencies. I listen to WTWW on 5085, as that thing pegs the needle here. 7490 is a good second. 9330 is ok and 6070 is a mess due to 6060/6065.

If he wasn't on SW, no chance I'd be able to hear him on radio. Plus, FM would be weird for that show. While we have C2C on a local 25kW (night) station, I prefer to listen to another station via DX. Local station does a fine job in broadcasting, but hearing the ionosphere change the MW signal gives it life.

Internet? Bah. I only have ADSL and sometimes it gets full which then chops up the stream. And if the connection breaks, then what? At least with radio, far simpler & more reliable. Plus radio sounds better.

You should call him. If you think you'll forget stuff, make a brief outline of what you want to mention.

740 CFZM is a great station. They come in most nights here pretty well.

Sad. I enjoyed listening to them.

Call 'em art and charge $10,000

I like it. Need to make more and bring one into work and see what happens. Hopefully will get some that will buy them for some outrageous amount.

I'll try hanging some wire off of it and see if that helps. Tried to ground it to my gutter, but no effect at all.

Also have a Wellbrook loop. Works very well, but it also picks up stray noise (even though its ~80 from the house in the shed). I'm using 100+' of TV cable as well, but its direct bury for part and quad-shielded for above ground/indoor. TV cable seems to work fine and far cheaper than 50-ohm stuff (and I want to say that Wellbrook recommended the 75-ohm, maybe).
