This is an S8, big wide signal. No talk so far.

FM Free Radio / 87.9 FM unid station in El Cajon, CA
« on: November 24, 2013, 0402 UTC »
Been hearing an unid station playing techno on 87.9 FM
in El Cajon, CA.
After some investigating, found it is from a car wash!
Happy Cow Car Wash.
They have a laser light show when you run thru the wash
and they tell you to tune to 87.9 FM to hear the music.
It can be heard w/in a 1 mile radius of the car wash.
I plan to see if I can get them to verify. Bet it freaks them out!

Hey, this is Terry Provance. Been away from the hobby for several years. just turned on the Drake R8A here in Spring Valley, CA and heard this station on 6935 USB. First started listening at 0204, an R&B jump type song, followed by a similar song. Went to an old country-western type/western swing maybe? Also heard some early rockabilly/doowop. Word
"mama" where I could hear words. No song IDed. No station ID heard. at 0232 heard a dixieland song. The station peaked at an S3 around 0205 and then very gradually faded. Barely audible now at 0242 UTC, 11/24/13.  I think this is probably the station reported here by others - Wolverine Radio. Amazingly I'm using an HF Engineering H-800 active antenna with the Drake R8A. No other enhancements. PSE QSL.
