10/11 meters / 26110 FM KOVR Sacramento, CA. 1724z 4/20/2013
« on: April 20, 2013, 1727 UTC »
FM audio fading in and out from a television show, presumed from the KOVR-TV STL in Sacramento, CA.  No other STL's noted right now here.  It's amazing the BOGs pick up anything this high in frequency :-)

1732z: Sacramento weather forecast given, I guess this confirms it!

Radio Ga-Ga?

Just came up on 1710, oldies music, S8 with fades down to S5-S6.  ID at 0515z "Big Q" & "Hits Powerhouse".

0524z: Message stating this may be the final broadcast for a long time, and perhaps forever, due to "life changing events".  Thanked many past listeners here by name/handle.  Say it ain't so Q :-(

X-FM signing on 6950, but another AM station just under 6950 is causing a mess on the frequency.  Other station just went off, X-FM sounding better here now - 0201z.

0304z: "Jesus Built My Hotrod" by Ministry - haven't heard this in years :-)

Siren sound effect with ID and into music.  S5-S6

MW Loggings / Sunrise log: 740 KVOR Colorado Springs, CO.
« on: April 13, 2013, 1139 UTC »
A new one heard this morning: 740 KVOR (3.3/1.5 kw) at 1100z with ABC News and into several nice IDs, weak but clear copy for about 10 minutes until fade-out, 1003 miles.  740 #14.

PNG found on 3385 kHz this morning while scanning through 90 meters.  Very weak, the talk would be difficult to comprehend even for a native speaker.  Nice music between the talk though.  Other PNG carriers are peaking as the sun comes up here, but this is the only one producing audio this morning.

Fluctuating between S5-S6 and occasional peaks up to S7.  Mostly up tempo music with frequent IDs, into Black Sabbath as I type this at 0018z.

Great show tonight and solid signal throughout the broadcast.  Thanks Andy Walker and Channel Z!
