Standby music with a good signal here, 10 to 20 over S9.  Looking forward to the show RH!

1204 UTC had someone barely poking up above the noise floor with what sounded like classical music this morning.  Very very faint, and surprisingly caught on my very directional west antenna which usually has nothing on 1710.  If the station op is reading this then please contact me for a recording to confirm!  Frequency measured 1700.001

S9+20 into Michigan with HFU shoutouts, looking forward to the show RH!

Very weak, mostly a carrier but occasional audio peaks with rap music heard at 0038 UTC.

Andy, yes, you're hearing the same station that I am hearing right now.  About an hour or so into this one now and still no ID or announcements.  Sounds like a broadcast quality signal here with only occasional fading.  The South Bend station is long gone.  There really aren't any good legitimate choices here as to who this could be.  I suspect it's the same station that Chris and I have heard in recent weeks during early afternoons that play non-stop Christmas music on 1620.

Very strong Christmas music here right now at 0318z and seems much too strong for the usual suspects, no announcements heard so far.  I'm also hearing WDHP from the US Virgin Islands way underneath.

Carrier tuning up prior to 2315z and now faint music being heard above the noise floor.  Off at 2318z but this channel probably bears watching tonight.

0158z: Thin Lizzy "The Boys Are Back In Town", signal weak and just above the noise floor, which is now filled with static crashes.
0232z: Dire Straits - Walk Of Life
0233z: Dire Straits - So Far Away
0248z: off mid-song
0251z: back but too weak to ID song
0259z: Supertramp - Goodbye Stranger
0305z: Supertramp - Give A Little Bit

Carrier tuning up and bouncing around between 1710 & 1717 and then music beginning at 0345z.  S6-S7 and mixing with the Flight 93 TIS.

Hearing "Eye of the Tiger" @ 0056 UTC, S6 or so and perhaps getting a bit stronger.

0103z: Blue Swede - Hooked on a Feeling
0010z: Music still playing but now too weak to identify
0119z: Chicago As Time Goes On - S8 now and much better!
0121z: Off

I caught the last few minutes of this same station in West Michigan:

Please QSL and thanks for the Christmas music!

S6-S7 with TV news audio of current events, carrier is drifting downward..

Presumed CRN bubbling up through the noise between long fades with old time crooner music while taking turns with the Flight 93 Memorial TIS.

0202z: Sounded like an old PSA from Ronald Reagan
0204z: "Community Radio Network" ID and into more old time music
0212z: DJ with "The phones lines are open"
0230z: Live time check and local forecast by "Chuck the weather man"
0247z: "This is the place for the greatest music ever made"
0301z: National Anthem and off

Carrier tuning up and now abstract music signing on 1720 @ 2327 UTC.  S9

23:32z: Modulation suddenly came way up, sounding much better now.

BDM, good to have you back in action, and thanks for the tip!  Fair copy on this too in Western Michigan but with deep fades.

Occasional music just above my noise floor, oldies including The Beatles, Tom Jones, Barry Manilow and others.  Live DJ between songs with live time checks.  Finally identified through web receivers as "Community Radio Network" near 0200 UTC top of hour mentioning a bunch of other frequencies and even a telephone number.  Searching this forum for "Community Radio Network" will turn up some logs of mine from two years ago of this station on 1710.  Signed off at 0300 UTC with "Community Radio Network" ID and ended with the National Anthem.
