I was surprised to catch this one, 5kw from the west coast.  Here's what it sounded like from Michigan:

Received using the phased BOGs.  600 is just about always 100% WMT with a huge signal from my location.

"Don't let them see us, don't tell them what we are doing" @ 0229 UTC, strong signal Doc!  Signed off at 0233  :'(

I'm hoping for some good DX on some of these channels if they go dark for any length of time.  When the Sussex, WI. Disney went silent on 1640 I was able to log California and then Oregon briefly one night on 1640.

Occasional faint music here but nearby t-storms are clobbering the signal.  I have it at 6244.4 @ 0043 UTC.

Fair copy here, talking in unid language followed by instrumental music and back into talk right now at 2101 UTC.  Thanks for the tip.  I assume this is a pirate?  What's the story with this one?

Ya... Tahiti.

I really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really want to get that one.

What is 740 like there during early morning?  I'm guessing Fargo on 740 might give you trouble when trying for 738?  A D-KAZ pointing 90 degrees away from KVOX might put you in good alignment with the South Pacific while nulling KVOX at the same time.  I guess I'm lucky in that the Toronto blaster on 740 is East of me.  As sunrise approaches here, their signal is weakened and I can usually kill it completely with the phaser.  This opens up 740 for me and reduces the splatter on 738 making the frequency pretty quiet (except when 740 Baraboo, WI. signs on for the day).

Tahiti?  Daaaaang!  That is seriously impressive!  How the heck did you manage that one?  :)

Beverage antenna and extreme patience :-)

702 Presumed Sydney in this morning with a good carrier and then into *very* faint audio peaking around 1043 UTC.  Man speaking with call-in listener which seemed to match up with the 2BL webstream.  I was hoping for some music that would help nail it, but these MW sunrise peaks only last for a few minutes, and poof - they vanish completely.  Strong t-storm crashes on the band didn't help things.

738 Tahiti, Polynésie 1, peaking around the same time as above with upbeat music that clearly matched their webstream.  Destroyed at 1100 UTC when 740 WRPQ Baraboo came on.

Other carriers noted this morning: 747, 1017, 1026, 1035.

Thanks for the heads-up.  I've been listening since 1110z.  Weak but fairly clear signal over some light static crashes, S5 or so here but no breakfast yet..

657
Signing on now, S9+ signal, and into vintage tune "We're In the Money"

Very faint talk against the S3-S4 noise floor right now at 0046z, and just went into a song..

First logging of this one this season on the North D-KAZ.  Weak with some of it understandable, but t-storm noise making it very difficult to copy.  Looking forward to when the band quiets down.  Some VFO swishing also heard during this time.

Near "arm chair" copy on 1089 Talksport from the UK right now at 0225z with very little fade.  This is with the D-KAZ pointed North.  Flipping it to the South and the signal disappears completely.  I really wasn't expecting much in the way of transatlantic MW DX with this antenna due to its orientation, but I'm pleasantly surprised!
