EDIT: The above was reported in real-time this morning.  I went back to my recording to check for the PSK ID that Chris mentioned at 0902.  Sure enough, I ran it through Fldigi and came up with these decodes (messing around with different filters, etc. produces slightly different results):

General Radio Discussion / Re: Radio Celestial Gets The Knock
« on: August 10, 2013, 0131 UTC »
I'm seeing two prominent "spikes" right now 10 and 23 Hz above 1710.  .023 should be Radio Celestial (assuming they are still on).  Has the TIS drifted up to .010?

S6 to S7 here over the static, no ID as of 0035z.  Radio Mushroom ID and announcements at 0039z.

General Radio Discussion / Re: Radio Celestial Gets The Knock

Interesting.  Can anyone confirm if they are still on the air?  Generally, there's too much noise here on 1710 this time of year for me to pull in Radio Celestial.

922
Heard it here too, weak, and it can be heard in the audio clip I just added to my Undercover Radio log here.

923
"Testing 1-2-3" interval, signing on now, massive S9 signal.  A welcome surprise tonight!

Great to hear ya Doc, hope you get it sorted out tonight.  I'm also hearing weak rap music underneath.

0202: Doc Benway "I'm Skyped into a remote transmitter!", signal bouncing between S5-S7 on peaks, audio slightly thin but very clear.

Other / Re: 6950 Mystery Carrier
« on: August 04, 2013, 2046 UTC »
I noticed it too this morning at 1124z while tuning around.  It looks to be centered at 6950 with several 60 Hz spaced "spikes" above and below 6950 when zooming in closely using the spectrum display.

Wild signal fluctuations - from being just above the noise and then jumping up to S7 at times, sunrise now here.  BBR repeated IDs at 1027z.

I guess you could do the same, recording in real-time from two receivers tuned to LSB and USB, but it's much easier to do in software :-)  Terrible noise last night on the band, but here's a stereo recording FWIW.  I used SDR Console to pipe the LSB to the left channel and the USB to the right channel using two independent VFOs.  I still get annoying little audio dropouts when playing back Perseus I/Q files through SDR Console, but better than nothing.  I also notice some echo during the announcements, I don't know if that was intended or just lag between the VFOs on the software.  I would love to hear this test again over a quiet band.

Here's a screenshot showing how SDR Console was setup for this.

Signed on with a strong carrier, then off and back on with music.  B52s "Channel Z" playing right now at 0237z, audio is low despite good carrier level (S6-S7).

X-FM ID at 0248z!  Glad you got your audio back :-)

S7-S9 via Rochester, NY. Perseus SDR, good selection of music as always.  Thanks RFW

Kilokat7 that would be "Too Much Midi [Please Forgive Me!] by Ford and  Lopatin [the Channel Pressure Remixes]
Great tune!

BBR: that was it - the Alan Braxe Remix version - thanks!  Very hypnotic mix, I'm glad I tuned across the band early this morning to discover it.
