On another forum a guy reported hearing morse code ID's on drift buoys on 27500, might be worth listening for. He apparently is in the Midwest somewhere, so whatever he was hearing may be listenable over a sizeable chunk of the U.S. & Canada.



27,500 is the 11m CW call Frq

I use a ALINCO DX70 with LDG auto atu in my van I'am a ham as well but like to SWL when I'am mobile has 100 memory channels and use various antennas as I TX&RX 
Easy to use no fuss radio
My van is diesel and get minimal electrical noise  though on my works truck had  piezo crystal injectors (smiler to what's in a electronic cigaret lighters) and boy where they noisy

Hi I'am new to this forum been a keen SWLer for 35 years  and often RX'ed number stations and became hooked with "Lincolnshire Poacher Cheery Ripe" etc thanks to good old YouTube they can still be heard as I never recorded them !
I was just wondering if anyone had seen the videos of Peter Staal of the machines from the former East German secret services  he has a few videos on there so look through his channel
