Broadcast Announcements / Another test.
« on: October 02, 2021, 1918 UTC »
We are on air at the moment with our beacon transmitter on 6330kHz CW (from northern Europe). Transmission will last until at least 07.00 tomorrow. Yesterday at around 06.30 UTC the CW signal had a decent reception in north-east of America. Power is about 8 watts.

We are a little unsure how active we will be in the future, at least from our current European QTH as a new military HF stations has recently been installed only a few hundred meters away.

Broadcast Announcements / Radio Piraña Int. Beacon test. 6330 kHz CW
« on: September 30, 2021, 2052 UTC »
We have just taken out of the dust our beacon transmitter and are now testing it with about 7 watts on 6330kHz in CW mode.
The test will last until at least 6 UTC tomorrow October 1st. Later in the autumn we will have more transmissions.
By the way, transmission originates from Europe and not from our Southamerican QTH.

Dears!

From 22.00 - 12.00 UTC on 6945 kHz from South America, the last for a while. We have some problems there that I can't figured out from here (Europe) yet... It seems power is not
at 100 watts for the moment  :( But anyway it puts out some power.... 20 watts?

On 6290.7 kHz 20 watts, from Europe we will put out the Beacon transmission from 22.00 UTC or earlier.. and it will be on to 06.00 UTC. This frequency maybe better for North America I hope.

That means 20 watts. Frequency is 6342kHz  CW and it will be from our north Europe QTH. Transmission will
last to 06 UTC tomorrow. We have noted the beacon transmitter earlier this month when using 10 watts in the
eastern part of North America at around 22.30 utc, and also in South America at 05 UTC. Actually it is now
audible via KIWI sdr outside Rio, Brazil.
