nice catch!!

I was hearing a weak beacon on 4094.11 on KFS SE and it was sending three to four letters of which two sounded like "L" and "G"

The two beacon signals are not harmonically related but the choice of Morse letters is interesting.

I too just ran across the big signal from TCO here at home on the KX3. I will try to catch any other CW letter groups while I can.

S10 on this SDR  http://ve6hfd.ddns.net:8074/

0540Z 01/01/22

Edit:

Seems the song I heard may have been Wang Chung.

The music audio quality sounds really good, however the DJ's audio was a bit low.

Nice catches!

snip

I miss the golden age of shortwave broadcasting, of which I was lucky enough to catch the tail end in the 70's and 80's. However, things change, time marches on, and the old fun is replaced with new types of fun. Besides, if everything stayed the same, life would be as dull as dishwater.

Try out the Pirate Radio broadcasters. Some pretty impressive signals come up often.

In particular watch the announcement thread.  https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/board,28.0.html

DW is strong here at home. Its battery has a good voltage but it's the lowest I've ever heard with cloudy desert weather at the root of it.

4095.670 KHz  Desert Whooper.   BAT 12.6  OTMP 52  ITMP 57   PV 1

Using KFS

7998.950 KHz  Q with a fair signal but clobbered by radar or whatever that is

Had to use an Arizona SDR to hear "A" on 2097.3 at this time of day http://68.14.214.57:8073/

No sign of Windy

Poor windy needs a little love.

And a new battery.

I just checked a few SDRs and couldn't hear it. The western deserts are clouded over so Windy may have shut down.

Using KFS Omni

4095.670 KHz  Desert Whooper.   BAT 13.3  OTMP 55  ITMP 59   PV 397
4096.850 KHz  slow dasher
4097.240 KHz  whooping fast dasher

Had to use an Arizona SDR to hear "A" on 2097.3 at this time of day http://kj7cat.com:8073/

No sign of Windy but the deserts are clouded over today.
