"greetings - Hello, I am the North Korean Democratization Committee. The unification we must
achieve is a free reunification in which the founding ideologies of the Republic of Korea are
liberal democracy, free market economy, ROK-US companionship, and Christian entry theory.

North Korean defectors are connecting to North Korea's nine provinces, 211 cities and counties,
and 3,611 villages. Together with them, it is the time to achieve free unification right now,
and the time to achieve it. Please lead the turbulent era of unification together. Together,
you are the hope of unification."

Shortwave Broadcast / Myanmar[non-logs]
« on: February 01, 2021, 1338 UTC »
Myanmar[non-logs]

MYANMAR. Feb 1, checking for any activity (none heard).

5985, normally after NHK closes (1130* UT), I would be hearing Myanmar Radio just signing on, in the clear,
with a decent signal, but today they were certainly not broadcasting; last checked at 1240.

5915, normally would be able to hear some signal from Myanmar Radio underneath CRI, but not heard today.

6165 and 7345, unable to hear any signal from Thazin Radio.

So it seems the military has indeed taken over control of all the SW stations. Needs more monitoring.

338
KOREA SOUTH. Feb 1 (Monday) observed frequencies for this week.

Voice of the People: 3480 (best reception) // 3910 // 3930 // 4450 // 6520 // 6600, at 0820 UT; another week with no changes. .

Echo of Hope - VOH: 3980 // 4885 (Brazil QRM) // 5990 // 6250 // 6348 // 9100, at 0815 UT; another week with all frequencies changed.

Voice of Freedom, on alternate frequency of 6045, at 0825 UT; poor reception due to mixing with N. Korea super jamming on frequency.
VOF ex: 5920, now a clear frequency, but today with OTH radar.

6135 is now being super jammed by N. Korea, with no station there to be jammed, at 0827 UT.

339
Please see "Clandestine Stations." Thanks.

Shortwave Broadcast / Re: Radio Vanuatu is back on SW again
« on: January 14, 2021, 0724 UTC »
- - - from Bryan Clark:

"Radio Vanuatu now on 7260 at 0058 UTC [Jan 14] but no second or third harmonic evident.
When I rechecked earlier at 2100 they had disappeared from 7780 and 11835. Current reception
is on the NZ KiwiSDR at the Bay of Islands in Northland NZ. I have a carrier and some audio at
home but not enough for positive identification. Bryan"

My log of Jan 14:

7260, from 0501 to 0559* UTC; definite Pacific Islands music, but very poor. At 0600, noted signal on third
harmonic 11835, so started at *0600, but was very poor; second harmonic (7890) was only a carrier and
nothing on 3945. Manuel Méndez also noted 0559*, on 7260, at the same time. Thanks again to Manuel,
for the original alert of the return of RV.

to Manuel Méndez (via WOR iog) for the timely alert! At tune in on 3945, was not too bad, but third

Vanuatu, half past seven"
; programming in Bislama; later on 3945 (11835 unheard), at 1000, the
usual intro to the news/sports/weather, with indigenous music of horns and drums; news ended at
1019; from 1032 to 1101, ending the day with the usual sermon and religious songs; 1101, closing
announcement and National Anthem; 1102-1114, open carrier (no audio); dead air till trx off.
Wonderful to have them back again!
