Hobart Radio Intl is also very excited to produce our first (since 2005) music show designed for shortwave - the buzz!

This show really is a light hearted fun show capturing the free radio spirit. We feature slightly heavier music than I am used to including a great metal cover of "Summer Lovin - Grease" and some Motley Crue, CBD, Grandmasterflash some Little Britain comedy and to calm it down towards the end a song from the Lion King - an ace first show! I forgot, Elmer Fudd can rap!

The lima pirates aka Indonesian Horse Racing pirates  are active again on 6999-7000khz in both USB and LSB with chanting. SINPO 43344 They all chant either lima or other words as quickly as possible. Not heard them much here in Australia on this band. First heard 4/1/15 but heard them last night too. Off at 11h12UTC when checked again.

This was recorded by a member of Scanning Tasmania and shows an interesting time when ATC in Launceston had too much time on their hands, so they added animal noises to the information/weather transmission.

It's sad but all FTA channels should now be encrypted on Asiasat 4 KU. I don't know Russian so it's not a loss to me but shows commercialisation. Only a couple so far are still FTA.
