Equipment / ICOM R75 computer control
« on: September 01, 2016, 1224 UTC »
Does anyone with an ICOM R75 use the computer control option?
The user manual is vague on this and not much specific info on the web.
I was trying to figure out the interface, (CI-V connection) the software
and hardware needed.

I was trying to find some video or pics of the software display to see what it looks like
and what it controlled. Also what advantages does computer control have.
Do you get a waterfall display?

Thanks

Software / Sorcerer decoder
« on: August 27, 2016, 1145 UTC »
Anyone using the Sorcerer decoder? What I want to decode with it is
Stanag-4285.

I read a few reviews online that complained about malware and Trojans and a few
other problems like hogging too much of the CPU.

My only worries are the Trojans and viruses and things like that.
Poor performance was another complaint but I'm not worried about that.
I just don't want to screw up my laptop, if the program doesn't work well
I'll get rid of it.

Here is an article on Sorcerer: http://mt-utility.blogspot.com/2011/12/why-sorcerer-wont-be-on-my-next.html

Thanks for any input.
