http://sv1xv.blogspot.gr/2015/10/dasher-beacon-on-7010-khz.html

A dasher appears just above 7010 kHz, audible when there is no other CW ham traffic.

Is the frequency 6987 kHz correct ? I can't hear it on my radio and also it is not received by Twente WebSDR.

I believe that Incirlik, Turkey is also a former participant in USAF HF-GCS; not abandoned, just inactive.

Not at all, my address is no secret after all; it is published on QRZ.COM etc ham sites.

Today I visited the Post Office and found a QSL card for "Common and Precious" reception. Thank you very much!

Hahaha, yes! ;D

I've been wondering when (and how) this will happen for months by now. I'm taking about Google-Hits regarding the Beacon. People receiving it, wondering what it is and posting stuff. Awesome. Makes me grin right now.

I think I'll ask someone to forward that guy a QSL card. Let's see his reaction to the fact of suddenly receiving such a card from a station he's been wondering about. That could be funny! :D

A single letter beacon "T" (or a plain dash) is heard in Athens, Greece every evening just above 7010 kHz.

I believe that MARS abandoned CW many years ago, along with all USA (and other NATO) military networks.

HF Beacons / Cluster beacons move out of 40 m ham radio band
« on: May 23, 2015, 1724 UTC »
The cluster of single letter beacons which operated for years near 7039 kHz, recently left the 40 m amateur radio band and moved up to new frequencies. New frequencies are:

7508.7  "D"
7508.9  "S"
7509.0  "C"
