Oh what fun to set off every business alarm system as you pass by with several hundred watts of ssb into a very efficient 1/4w.

One time I was following a coworker home for dinner and was using the rig without paying much attention to what was going on around me. Apparently I had fried someone's stereo/amp system with black smoke coming out of their car and everything and they tried to get up to me as it was obvious my car was responsible as it was the only one that looked like a full size rc car, but my friend kept them at bay as I had no clue and happily drove on to his place. Never knew what had taken place till we got to his place and he jumped out of his car and said didn't you see those two guys who were trying to cut you off?

From  the looks of the plot I imagine signal strength is going to be about the only diff.

That is an interesting point to bring up Josh. I have seen several videos posted that use the MLA-30 with standing portable receivers. I have never owned an antenna like this, so I'm not quite sure?

If it worked ok in the vids things should be ok for you too. That being said, if you're near an ambc sta, look out.

What's the frequency, Kenneth?

A bit off topic but I assume a mla will crush the front end of a portable.

What's one or three deaths of your direct subordinates when your politicrime family is responsible for hundreds of thousands if not millions of deaths?

Also the bush fam wars are still reaping death and profit.

"Comparing the MLA-30, Cross Country wireless, Bonito ML200, and the Wellbrook 1530LN magnetic loops on HF the length of the wire used on the ccw, mla30 and the bonito is 5m and not the diameter of the loop which will be approx 1.6m"

Would have liked to have seen a comparison with a Wellbrook ALA-100 as thats meant for wire rather than the 1530LN is a fixed loop that way you could have tried the same length, the CCW is meant to have 3m wire too so a better comparison would have been 3m with all. Just a thought

Hi Les I have had some time with all the loops and tried  different  lengths of wire for the loops 1m, 3m and 5m (wire length not the diameter of loop)  the results across the bands on hf were all similar whichever length of wire loop I used, the difference was that the longer the wire the better each loop performed at LF but the actual noise snr etc was pretty much identical as in the comparisons, as the video was already long I did not show the comparisons with the shorter lengths of wire as it did not show anything differant if it had it would of been included "
