Spy Numbers / Re: 9155 KHz AM numbers in Spanish
« on: November 28, 2018, 1404 UTC »
That was station HM01, aka The Cuban Lady. I keep a log of the numbers and the digital file transfers, but it's been in a semi-permanent state of repetition for months now. If that keeps up I may stop logging when the year ends.

General Radio Discussion / Re: Glenn Hauser explains WJHR's signal.

Fascinating, thanks for sharing!

Thanks for snagging that MDK2!

You're welcome. It was a bit of luck, as I usually miss World of Radio for one reason or another, but had noticed that it now follows Shortwave Radiogram which I record every week, so this was the first time I'd recorded it for later playback. That was crucial for being able to share it with everyone else.

General Radio Discussion / Glenn Hauser explains WJHR's signal.

The answer, it turns out, has been in the WRTH all along.

(It's just two minutes long.)

Rare copy of this signal at this frequency, where it was interfering/interfered by VMW Wiluma at 1430 UTC. The signal was weak, SIO 131/111 (the "I" number being defined by the low noise during time of listening but also the presence of VMC the last few minutes), but was definitely NOT CNR1, which can be copied both as a broadcast and a jammer throughout the 49m band at that same time here in Denver. Still calling it "presumed" since I heard nothing by which to confirm identity other than its listing in the Eibi schedule for that time and frequency.

I don't have it as of 2348, but did around 2336 with an SIO 122 signal.

3263
2328 Weak signal, but getting enough to recognize "King of Pain" The Police, into something harder rocking at 2329.

3264
Thanks for sharing, there's a lot of good information here.

I do have a question. Why do you describe your Beverage antennas as "mini"? I am not aware that there's such a thing, particularly since yours are all over 200 feet long. Thanks!

3265
0214 Just tuning in, signal is unfortunately weak here.
0250 still hearing audio below the noise. It was SIO 111 at best over the course of the past 34 minutes.

3266
I could have sworn that he posted reception for a recent date during that time, but reviewing the log I see that I'm mistaken. Never mind, carry on....

3267
It's interesting you're not getting it, because sat-dxer has been reporting reception of V24 here on HFU over this period. He doesn't say where he is or whether he's receiving it at his QTH or a remote online SDR somewhere, though.

Past experience with Australian politicians is all vigour and promise when in opposition, when elected their memories suddenly fail.  Promise? What promise?  Cannot recall that promise... ::)

I will believe it when I actually hear Radio Australia back on air, don't hold your breath for it though... 8)

I think they're talking about restoring only ABC Northern Territories, not RA.

2216 Not sure if this is the same station, but I have weak music on 6965 USB at this time.
