I had given up on pirates by that time, otherwise I would have been glad to try to tune in. @radiozed, maybe you ought to post broadcast announcements as long as you're experimenting.

9/24, 1420z. Playing very dramatic late-romantic era style classical music. Best copy I've had in a month, and the music, though pedestrian in a way, is a nice change from the Morangbong Band stuff they usually favor.

0227 Being off by 100 Hz is making it impossible for my Sat 750 to tune correctly, but I can hear "Edge of 17" pretty clearly, if not properly tuned.
0230 Hot Rod song, can't recall the exact title
0232 My Dingaling
0238 Convoy
0245 signal gone, XFM is also fading, must mean band is closing up on me.

0200 XFM ID into "Float" Switchfoot *
0204 Redhat introducing track, "Desire" Meg Myers
0209 XFM ID, Redhat with email address. Talking about equinox, how it only meant winter was coming when he was a kid. Not a fan of winter, eh? :)
Continues with HFU shoutouts. Mentions it's an election year. (Signal is dropping again.) More shoutouts, I think from Free Radio Cafe from page two of this thread.
0217 "Annie" Neon Indian (signal back to full strength)
0221 XFM ID into "Young and Unafraid" The Moth & The Flame * (signal's dropped out again, at times fading out almost completely before coming back a little)
0224 XFM ID, music faint. Signal S1, can't shazam song.
0228 Hearing the last part of "The Trees" by Rush. Signal is still rough.
0232 Signal seems to be back. Or propagation is cooperating. Song is "Another Life" GusGus *
0235 "Tom Sawyer" Rush
0239 "Squeeze Box" The Who
0242 Redhat back, someone requested Lou Reed. (signal faded, hard to follow everything he's saying.) HFU shoutouts. Set recap.
0246 signal below noise floor, but new song can be heard. Did hear Redhat say Kurt Vile.
0252 signal lost. I think the band closed on me.

* shazamed

Thanks for the show Redhat!

0216 Nice signal into Denver. I suspect Radio Zed.
0218 Signal has taken a big dive, now barely audible.
0234 Decent signal at Sedona SDR, still just enough to know something's there on my own receiver.

2347 faintly audible under the static, which isn't bad at all tonight.

5382
Big band music. Sounds great on Sedona SDR but very rough copy at home. Hmmm.
0316 Radio Zed confirmed via email correspondence. No ID heard on broadcast.
0317 OM talking, sounds like old recording of interview. Signal not very clear now, even at Sedona SDR.
0322 music resuming
0332 off or lost

Thanks for the show!

Lol!

Folks under 25 seem to think sneakers over the power line mean drug dealers hang out nearby? To me it means there was a fight and someone got himself a new pair of sneakers. They threw the old sneaks over the line so the other kid had no choice but to walk home barefoot.

Everyone knew where the drug dealers were, all you had to do was follow their customers. Shaky Joe and Sleepy Pete hanging out on that porch? That's where the drug dealer lived.

It's also the place that has visitors at all hours of the day, but they never stay for long. Living two doors down from a crack house in the 90s boosted my street IQ quite a bit. Strangely enough, there were sneakers over the telephone line nearby....
