One of my favorites growing up. If it's any consolation, director Robert Zemeckis would go on to win Oscars for a later project of his called "Forrest Gump." Though IMHO "Used Cars" is the better of the two.

« on: June 17, 2022, 1823 UTC »Anyone remember the movie ,"Used Cars"? It depicts an uplink highjack of a State of The Union Address by a wild-ass used car salesman, his colleagues, and a couple of tech wizards they roped into a plot to save the lot from the dead owner's slimy twin brother.
One of the tech guy's built his own pacemaker from parts he bought at Radio Shack. I don't know why it didn't win an Oscar?

Shortwave Radiogram, a program mostly done in either MFSK32 or MFSK64, is transmitted Thursdays on WINB 2330-0000 UTC. But there's a bit of music and talk at the very beginning and music at the very end.

Every now and then an engineer gets it closer to its assigned frequency. It'll drift back out to 9666.whatever in due time. FWIW I have the carrier at 9665.081 kHz.
