They say it's "for the Pacific" so it will be interesting what its specs are and whether it will translate to easier DX here in the USA, especially in those tougher winter months. I was up listening to the first hour of RNZ Saturday Night Requests between 0700 and 0800 on 11725 and the rx was very good, but great when they QSY'd to 9700. However that was 2:00am locally so I had to turn in.

Angela??? Does Al Weiner have a new girlfriend?

Hello there, Pigmeat - nice to see you here again.  I believe the legal term for the answer to your question is "Mrs.".

Wasn't sure they were married. I see them together in photos a lot on Twitter, but since I can't stand the way he hosts his show, and therefore don't tune in, I don't know how much she actually says. He promotes it like it's the two of them but the occasional time I scroll by, it's always just him.

Thank you. I'd given up broadcasting in 2009, then stuck around long enough to protect others from the Wabbit gang's clutches. When I found out the Wabbit was actually dead and not faking it again, I moved on.

I wouldn't have missed my pal Al's send off for anything in the world. His likeness should be put on Mount Rushmore.

Fair enough. Just want you to know that you've been missed around these parts. Al will be too. Take care, but do check in every now and again.

Al Fansome isn't dead, he's resurrected at CalTech. He always has and always will as long as that institution survives. Hail the risen Alluvial O. Fansome!

Speaking of shock, I'm in shock to see you again after a very long absence. Welcome back!

I don't read most of the boards here these days, and just happened to see that you had the latest comment and I thought, huh? Where you been? I honestly thought you must have passed away.

Regarding Fansome, I'm afraid I didn't have enough interactions with him. I know he was an important figure in the pirate community, but I came along too late to get the jokes which clearly were among friends. But I am sorry to read about his passing. Here's hoping the best for those he's leaving behind.

Low and noisy as of 0115 UTC here in Denver.

0048 fair signal after not being able to copy more than the carrier since the top of the hour. Thanks for the show!

818
Noted at 0046, too weak to make anything out.

819
0047 radio skit. Poor to fair signal here.

820
Had no signal whatsoever early on and a good but not great one the last 90 minutes or so. Thanks for the show!

821
0154 Carrier is decent but modulation seems to be poor.

822
About SIO 111 at 0154 UTC.

823
0042 The tracest of trace carriers is on my SDR waterfall at 6942 kHz, so it must be this station.

824
Signal at the noise floor.

825
0000 Wolverine ID into old time music, very very faint here.
0106 Echoey Wolverine ID into SSTV. This is via one of W3HFU's SDR's in MD. Signal never was good here. Oh well, thanks for the show!
