Hey, at least one of the pieces wasn't a cellphone.

Chuck Barris will always have a special place in my heart.  In 1978 as an undergrad, I hosted a college "Gong Show" doing the whole Barris routine.  Little did I know when the show started, my wife-to-be was in the audience.  We met shortly after the show and will mark 35 years this year.

Excellent reception....I don't know what show, nor the talent behind it, but it is Chuck Berry songs nonstop.

2222z "Johnny B. Good"

5847
Good reception....first significant listen on the just-home-from-the-shop T/O 7G605 (found it online for a steal a year ago, it has been away 11 months), just using the whip antenna on it.

1630z They picked the best match of the weekend to broadcast....Manchester City v Liverpool.  Kick off just occurred, two OM's on play by play.  Curious broadcast and broadcast time.  Sportsworld had been transmitting only the 2nd half of matches at 1700z on Sundays (due to broadcast rights?), it appears they are broadcasting an entire match from 1630z.

1640z Attempt on goal by City, game being played in heavy rain.
1645z Firmino of Liverpool carded.
1649z Sane down the left, Silva shoots over goal

Shortwave Broadcast / EMR WBCQ Relay caught in time warp?
« on: March 18, 2017, 2244 UTC »
Everything I've read about the EMR transmission today (18 March) on 5130 was that it would be broadcast 2300 to 0000.  They are on right now 2240.  Last week 640pm EST would have been 2340.

Email response from Tom Taylor:

Many thanks for your report and email.
Yes the time was not correct!
All the best!
