Have had the MFJ 956 here for a while and have used it from LW up through HF and it helps in peaking desired signals. There is some overlap between bands. Also have the MFJ 1020C and when using it as a preselector find that it does a better job than the 956.

Heard neither a dit nor a dah of last evening's code practice session on 7047.5 from W1AW, a bit over 500 mi from my QTH.
At the same time, the 3581.5 freq was readable but with heavy QSB.

The Chicago station usually dominates 670 here day and night but was able to null it out last evening using a CCrane TCA and the Cuban was there.

RFI/EMI... it's everywhere. 
If it started with the cold WX, check for a controller or such on a heating appliance. A portable receiver can be useful as a sort of direction finder to track something like this down.

Been trying to log it here, good to hear it is still on the air.
TY, pv! YHK shows up here about once or twice a year. Checking every day possible is the key.
IF you need YUT Repulse Bay NU this tough one has become far simpler now that YLD has recently slid up to +415 exposing YUT on +405. It was in very solid this AM around 1100.
OK, tnx for the info on 335 YUT. That is a tough one here as ZKF Kitchener seems to hold down that freq.
Also looking for 350 RB Resolute NU. Have got DF in NL and NY in BC and RG in OK on that freq, just need some propagation to the north.
Finally got 350 RB Resolute Bay NU this morning.

Got the 3 NDBs at Hamilton: 221 HM, 266 ZHM, and 397 ZHA.
Also the 3 NDBs at Toronto (Pearson Intl.): 341 ZLP, 368 ZYZ, and 403 ZTO. (385 ZDH apparently decommissioned).
