Utility / Any TACAMO Activity on VLF

I have a couple of VLF receivers (Gyrator II) listening for solar activity (27 & 40kc). Have the parts for another one. Has anyone ever heard any TACAMO activity in the 15-30kc range? I see frequencies in the various online lists. Is it still used?

HI fading up to 559 around 0015 UTC Mar 04. Lots of QRM from OTHR. Faded out completely around 0030.

I hear it in WNC when the band is open. Sounds like 4-5 different stations based on signal strength. Usually when the 28 MHz W2 & W3 beacons are coming in. Also have one on 26995 (1 sec burst every ~9 sec) that runs 24/7.

Been hearing a lot of activity this week. In particular RAL65 (tanker "Kama") running traffic with RIT & RIW.

Strong here in western NC. Can even hear it on a single MPF102 regen & 25ft of wire.

Exo, thanks for the reports. Nice to know there are signals lurking about even though we may not hear them on the east coast. Enjoy chasing driftnets on 160m. Activity does seem to have dropped off. The FCC recently made them "legal" on 160 & they left. Maybe it's not as much fun annoying the hams or maybe, as you said, just migration to newer technology. Happy New Year.

1700 UTC, at work (15 miles from home). Hearing them on 13000 & 14000 kc. Now in groups of 4. Last night, heard the 7000 & 8000 kc signal on the hfunderpants sdr.
