link=topic=41988.msg155336#msg155336  the format you posted does not look like EAM style traffic to me, more like CAP or something like that, or yes, even some freebanders.  It is not just the military that uses NATO phonetics.

T!

Hey Token, what is CAP? Got a link I can look it up?

I agree with MDK2 - I've heard similar goofing around by freebanders TXing fake EAMs - have even heard fake E10s recently - fun fun fun......

Thnx bcuz it's been nagging at me since I found out it probly wasn't USAF! But with a freebander...any idea why I heard a beacon there for wks? It was 9940 KHz LSB and I was SO thrilled to hear that! So I kept checking back and...*beep*...*beep*...*beep*...
so that made me think it WAS real...bcuz of the beacon

The big AM in-band channels are as follows:

R4002 ↑↑that's an AWESOME list! I'm definitely gonna keep that! Thnx, cotton-picker! ;-) ;-)

[tRMZ] 10-7 in the Gr8 Lakes got DOWN! :-D :-D

Excuse my ignorance, but what in the world is the "Super Bowl channel"?
Yeah they also call it "the sandpile" or "dogpile"...I will excuse your ignorance if you will excuse my ignorance! Deal?
Bah-bah-BAH!  ;-)

(I just heard a guy on ch06 say "this is cotton-pickin Stonewall Jackson!")

HAHA I seriously love the CB. It pisses off the licensed HAMs! And remember: with "CB radio"...the 'C' stands for "idiot"! (←that's me!)

95
roger that, MDK2! That's a big 10-4 it's all cacophonous up here on this cotton-pickin end! 27025 KHz ch06

15:03z and I've been hearing these guys lately around this time, but TODAY. ..May 18th...man it's quite the sandpile! Geez! 27025...in particular right now...damn! It's just CRAZY! I've been listening to the CB skip for a long time @ my location and what I'm hearing right now is...really hoppin'!
and yes ch11 and the frequencies close to that channel are VERY active. Also 27205 KHz is very active. Mother Nature is smilin on them mud ducks! :-D

Alright I'm gonna ease back out this cotton-pickin end! [tRMZ] in the Gr8 Lakes 10-7 I'm GONE bah-bah-BAH! ;D

(...you a big man, MDK2! You a big man wit that hammer down!) ;-)

I've been waiting for 9 months for the coveted JHR qsl.   This time I'm putting in a bible verse to get some leverage over the average heathen e mail.

seriously? Haha! their QSL works in mysterious ways. Ask and you so shall receive.  ;D

At one time there was some air traffic that began in that part of the band. The first few times I heard WJHR up there is was a real "WTH" moment, "Why are pilots ranting about religion?".

LOL yes that is hilarious when you have one of those 'WTH moments' on SW. I'm pretty new to radio; when I got a •Kaito• I was having fun scanning...and I came upon an odd station. I kept listening trying to figure what the heck.
I thot, "wow! ...are these African farm animals?" cuz it sounded like chickens and hyenas and hippopotamuses...sounded like a shamanic animal sacrifice.

But it was just ppl speaking in tongues. Man I thot they were zebras

But he's got really cool beard. Charlton Heston would have killed to have had it in "The Ten Commandments" instead of that hunk of styled cotton.
Hahaha yes I happened to notice his Prophetic Beard...in the pics of him being arrested... (again!). Then his ppl were saying "Come on down to our place in South Carolina! But no minors are allowed by court order!"... :-\

"...oh good; I'm glad my daughter just turned 18. She's barely legal! We're on the way!"

"Shaman" LOL. And Brother Stair is a prophet.

Brother Stair needs to STFU! And quit flappin his blasphemous baloney-chompers!

Frére Stair very literally ruins North American SW. Cuz he's on every damn frequency in existence!  on every damn meter-band that ever was! Man...SHUT...UP! I could be hearing something cool! Instead of him shrieking all the damn time! He sure loves to shriek. And he wrecks Dx listening for a lot of ppl with cheap radios.

I read a Terence McKenna book. He was in search of ayahuasca. He said he ate a bunch of  psilocybin mushrooms and...tripped out really hard. With his travel companions. Every day.
I...was never aware that he cared about amateur radio. In fact I would guess that he did not care about it.
If I'm wrong there...then that surprises me!

0:35 I was copying this station fairly well until this moment when I can't hear it anymore. I can't hear it anymore.  If they did QSY I do not copy

USB, I think you mean? If they were in LSB, that's worth noting because WJHR is supposed to be in USB.

It's 20:43z and I'm hearing this station. The station is WJHR? And yes sir, it is USB. It's such a strong signal here that it sounds very good on LSB when I have the bandwidth set WIDE, which is the reason for my mistake. Thanx.

I just think it's weird!

Isn't the 11th commandment "Thou Shalt Not Evangelize on Lower Sideband"?

Hahaha it's got to be
