...@ 12:43 UTC in what seemed to be CW  in short 1 character bursts spaced about 10 seconds apart on the FRG 7700.   Strange that I got it on AM Narrow but nothing when switched to the CW mode.   Any ideas?

For example, if we look at NRD-545, it scores all the top on all the aspects, but it used to cost about 2k? Even used ones go for almost 1k easy.


If you can find a JRC NRD-545d for $1,000 please let me know .

Tried to hook Romania @ 03:31 on 9740 khz today. Got, nothing but an S9 dead carrier. Was supposed to be English to South Asia but No Joy today.

SINPO: 3-4-3-2-3 in Sudanese out of Madagascar on 11650 at 03:34 UTC. 
 2 person  (YM AND YL) dialogue that sounded like they were reading a script from a play.   No music.   Pretty steady signal here is SE Wisconsin.

On 9790 khz  tonite @ 03:13 UTC in English with a two YL interview regarding the COVID virus.  Solid signal tonite out of the Quivican site targeting Western North America.

SINPO 2-2-2-3-2 @ 00:12 UTC on 9700 khz in Kachin directed to SE Asia via the Santa Maria de Galeria, Italy site.   OM narrative early then YL took over the moderating at 00:14.  No music. OM returned at 00:18.
 Lotta static and some very minor splash from REE on 9690.

S9 + 20 at 23:54 UTC on the usual 9420 khz out of Avlis, Greece with Grecian music , mostly male vocals. Super signal tonite with very minimal QRN, no fading.

177 miles isn't that all that rare but getting only 5w thru the Chicago big boys splash is kinda cool

You also got KZQZ St. Louis MO 5 kw nighttime beamed your way on the same freq.
