"ESPN 690"  mentioned a few times but no discernible station ID call letters,   Sports talk @ 05:12 UTC , commercial block promoting "Japanese Whiskey"  then back to the syndicated talk show hashing over all the  NCAA conference championship football games.  Thinking this is probably WOKV out of Jacksonville but I've never picked them up before and their broadcast pattern doesn't lend itself to southern Wisconsin.

Maybe WJOX out of Birmingham AL. ?

SO6 Russian Spy Numbers station has been known to use 7523 and 7528 KHZ but usually only at 1900 and 2100 utc and then for only 10 minutes.   I know this doesn't match up with your programming description  but they're still Commies you know so anything goes  :D

Bacon, BBQ, Beef, And More / Re: Kielbasa
« on: December 06, 2019, 0024 UTC »
Chris, you need to have some perogies to go along with the fresh kielbasa. If you come to WNY try these...https://babciaspierogi.com
Don't forget the side of cinnamon applesauce.

We have perogies every Xmas season.  The potato and cheese ones are awesome but the sauerkraut ones are wonderful also.  In Wisconsin,  Kielbasa is always a year round staple.

Considering the short distance from my location to the transmitter, I'm getting a weak signal with a lot of noise.  Enough clarity to pick up the sermon.
And your QTH is....?

« on: November 22, 2019, 0138 UTC »
Yeah, I remember back in the 80's pulling in HCJB  "The Voice of the Andes" on my 1st SWL receiver - a Kenwood
R-600 with an Eavesdropper trap wave dipole.   I'd like to have both of them back..   They always came thru Lima Charlie in the Upper Midwest.
Ah, the good old days.....

Shortwave Broadcast / What's RHC doing ....
« on: November 19, 2019, 2141 UTC »
...... on 11880 @ 21:28 UTC 19 Nov 19.   Received huge (5-5-4-5-5) signal with  OM Spanish narrative and music until 21:32 with a canned station ID  and QRT.   Then at 21:36 a garbled Y/F  that sounded an awful lot like the Spy Numbers lady followed by dead air.   Lost signal completely around 21:38 to Arabic narrative, probably Adventist Radio out of Moosbrun.
Is RHC ever where they're supposed to be?
