I have heard that Harmony will no longer use 5825 because of this.

Great minds Ray...

Instrumental, then IDs in English, Russian, French, German "Radio Parade".

14:58 carrier off.

S6 here

Still going at 11:00 on the 24th Oct, pop music with gaps, no IDs. Bad RF feedback in gaps between tracks.

S5 here.

(split by Ray at 1422 utc)

Instrumentals, incl. Also Spracht Zarathustra (2001 theme) and jingles, with email address as pandoraradio@hotmail.com
S7 here. Mod a bit low and variable.

Little Feat Radio?

Very wide sidebands too, nearly up to 50 and down to 25. Contrast with the nicely filtered and controlled audio on Laser and Zenith.

Indeed, I have worked on an Ampliphase tx, they are pigs to set up but sound good when done. Its a bit of an old technique now, modern commercial TXs use PDM (or PWM) usually. No big mod transformers any more!

I think you're hearing slope detection in your rx, not fm being transmitted as such. With a PLL exciter it's highly unlikely to get any incidental FM.

NBFM? It's not using that mode. AM only. Some receivers will detect AM in Fm mode though using slope detection, that's probably what you're hearing.

Transmitted from Ireland, not the Canaries!

UNID 5832.6
16:22 Imagine - John Lennon
16:27 What's Going On - Marvin Gaye

SIO 333 here with fading and static QRM.

Bad het with something on 5830.

A bit strange today (at 11:17) to hear Merlin on 6305, Harmony on 6310 and (I think) The Ghoul on 6316.7.

All similar strengths.

5k channels don't work when the stations are wider, and splatter all over each other!

Radio 319 from Holland, I believe.

Comes in well most days on Somerset HDR southwest.ddns.net:8073 and Portsmouth, and GM8XBZ in Scotland.

Zenith's email address is studio@zenithclassicrock.com

That seems to be Zenith Classic Rock.
