You can roll your own for less than 30 bucks.  1.6 Ohms resistance was poor. 0.5 or so would be what I would expect, even on a 150 feet coax run. I'm guessing the toroid is about 2 and a quarter inches. If so, that's what I use and I've run  about 3 KW PEP without any issues.

Energy are on tonight relaying Real FM from Spain.

108
That's a good log. They are using the Energy AM transmitter which recently had a small power increase and a new Optimod installed. I think Fun Radio were broadcast on 7 transmitters today. 4 on FM, 2 MW, and one on SW.

Music. High noise level and weak signal.
Pres. The Vault. If so, my first copy of them.

Thanks.

I found their official site at http://www.carolineflashback.co.uk/#home.html. I've sent them a reception report so maybe they will give me an indication of whether it's an official relay or not.
Definitely unofficial. I think the operator has been on several different frequencies over the years.

2225 Dave Scott Scott with recordings of Sunshine Radio being played  $3.00 for a QSL to Box 2727, 6049 ZG, Herten, Holland  [Gee, I got mine for a $1.00 a few years ago].
Cheapskate!

SINPO 45344  Clear signal, but with some slow fades into the noise at times

2040 Hit the road Jack
2044 Station ID FSR Holland
2044 The Radio - The Corrs
2047 Station ID FSR Holland (DJ says closing down in 10 minutes)
2050 2-4-6-8 Motorway - Tom Robinson Band
2055 Thank you - The Pale Fountains

That's a good signal for the frequency into the UK.
I am told it will be on air for another hour. 8)

Hi Brian... yes I am surprised too... but I'm finally in the skip zone now...

5790 khz only weak at my QTH , surprisingly... weird propagation conditions... maybe the current minor solar storm explains it.

Skip is strange tonight. 7700 should be better at this time into Holland (Twente SDR) but 5790 is better. Very odd.

2020 modern jazz, 2024 next, very noisy and stormy
(maybe Radio 5200 AM on 5190 because there is a carrier on 5200 ?)

I think you are correct.

SDR - Software Defined Radio / Re: TDoA_service - Hams or FCC?
« on: August 14, 2020, 1239 UTC »
I noticed a few  weeks ago that someone was using TDoA while listening to my transmission. I wonder how accurate it was?
Yesterday I tried it to located a HF  transmitter which I already know the location of and found it To be hopelessly inaccurate. Skywave wouldn't have helped.

117
Ray, just running a test. Music is Walter Becker, Circus Money CD.

118
Music much the same as yesterday. Good audio on peaks.

edit by Ray : date is already the 12th
