2045 UTC Weak carrier and a trace of music here.....
2047 UTC Brief fade up good enough for Shazam to ID song as "Saturday Love"-Alexander O'Neal
2058 UTC Another fade up and "Like A Prayer"-Mad'House per Shazam

Nice mix of music, sounds professional.  It might be that you were slightly over modulating a bit when I picked you up, but it could have been the propagation.  I am now in your skip zone, so nothing.  The propagation in general is not that good tonight, unfortunately.

Sorry to hear, Brian. I still have mostly just a carrier here in the USA. Probably not enough for a QSL.

Lesson learnt last night.
Running a 70 yo transmitter with 125% modulation and the Optimod set for for the loudest possible audio (HF MAX setting) is not a good idea.
I can still smell the smoke from the power supply choke.

Ah well, it was fun while it lasted.

In fact, 'heard' since 1246 UTC, but the propagation is very weak today, and noisy.
1620 "Waterloo Sunset"
1654 Beatles "Ady in the life", 1659 DJ, more music
Could well be R.Merlin, but not clear enough till now.

Heard Merlin ID several times today. Female DJ earlier.
