It looks like the old sound is back.

I like to monitor the buzzer on the kiwiradio below but since a while the buzzer is "obscured".
The waterfall shows a black line and there is no sound at all on the frequency.

Any thoughts on what's going on?

Something unusual with the Pip this morning. Someone saying numbers while the pip continues. Perhaps an amateur or pirate on the same frequency?

Utility / Lots of activity from the Buzzer on July 8

Today there were many messages, several per hour every hour. Unfortunately the messages themself weren't very clear, but the buzzing sound was. Could there something been wrong with the equipment and they were trying to fix it. But then again, I have little knowledge of radio technology, so maybe one thing doesn't have anything to do with the other.

It's more likely that it was just an exercise. Perhaps as an reaction to a NATO exercise in June in the area.

Spy Numbers / Recording Buzzer + chatting operator?

Made a recording of the buzzer this morning. I started recording because of chatter while it was still buzzing. Then at minute 1:38 a message started.
Perhaps the chatter is not related at all, I don't know weather is is possible that the Buzzer could emit chatter and be buzzing at the same time.

Oh and later there was another message, which I did not record but on this he seemed to say "boy boy boy"

I never heard that. I don't speak Russian but can sort of recognize the numers and names.
