Tuned in just now via NA5B in D.C. area. Good signal, though the noise is up a bit (sounds almost like a ute interfering); no signal out West.

2250 UTC: "You're a Grand Old Flag" by the U.S. Air Force Band.
2252 UTC: Radio Fusion Radio ID again, OSL address repeated by synth voice, then "This Land is Your Land" by the U.S. Air Force Singing Sergeants.
2255 UTC: ID and email addy again, then a choir's musical version of the Pledge of Allegiance.
2257 UTC: ID again, OM chatting a little. "Where colorful music can only be color blind." Then "God Bless America" by the USAF Heritage of America Band.

2304 UTC: ID, email and then "Suite in a A Major, 'American Suite'" by Luzerner Sinfonieorchester and James Gaffigan.
2307 UTC: ID spiel, email address again, into "American Pie" by Don McLean. Signal started fading a little again; I also found just a trace of signal fading in and out via the Northern Utah SDR during "American Pie."

Thanks for the music, Radio Fusion Radio!

0019 UTC: "You're Gonna Cry" by Roy Orbison.
0022 UTC: "I Never Knew" by Roy Orbison, as that annoying ute station cranks up again!

Listening via Fair Hill, Maryland SDR. Fair signal with lots of fading in and out as well as noise ...

2344 UTC: Shazam tells me this hard rock song is by Prong.
2346 UTC: YL synth voice - sounds like it's reading HFU posts or giving song titles?
2347 UTC: "This is Skipmuck Radio, WSMR" ID by that YL synth voice.
2348 UTC: "Symphony of Destruction" by Megadeth.
2355 UTC: "Seek and Destroy" by Metallica.

Thanks for the music, WSMR!

The 49-meter band's been pretty noisy lately out here in the evenings, so I haven't heard Radio Aparecida or Radio Santa Cruz on this frequency for months.

But tonight, in between the noise on 6135, I heard this Brazilian fading in with a man preaching in Portuguese and musical interludes at times just ahead of 0300 UTC.

581
SSTV, just barely audible, heard at 2235 UTC via NA5B near D.C.

Shortwave Broadcast / Radio Saudi 15285 AM 0419 UTC 18 May 2020
« on: May 18, 2020, 1754 UTC »
Conditions on the upper half of the shortwave bands seemed better than usual after sunset here last night, so I was tuning up there when I tripped on Radio Saudi broadcasting Swahili on a southwest beam toward Africa.

The signal was struggling to stay at audible levels on my radio and by 0430 UTC, it faded out.

585
Signal fair at the K9VD SDR a few miles away from me; fair directly at my radio.

0205 UTC: R&B/hip-hop song.
0209 UTC: R&B song, then a skit from an album maybe?
