Quote: Radio London Big L is now on 6305khz also on stream       http://radiomerlinintrnati.radiostream321.com

Wonders will never cease! I am able to listen to your stream here in China with no buffering issues (and no VPN).  :)

Cor blimey - shiver me timbers (as the actor playing Long John Silver remarks with gusto during the 1950 film Treasure Island)!  :)

Many thanks for providing the stream link above. :)

on 6305.05
seems to be on 24/24 since Friday 9th (but propagation has vagaries...)

Yes, that's my take too.

And there have been a lot of old programs aired, not that that's particularly significant, except that the operator
can have some (much-needed) shut-eye, I reckon.

7700 and 5810 were logged with favorable SINPOs on a UK sdr and on a Swiss sdr.

However, 7700 was better most of the time.

Farther away, it was a different story. Both channels were logged with poor SINPOs on the Trescatelli sdr.

Unfortunately for FRSH, the station's e-mail address won't accept audio files.

No problem - their station, their choice.

And ther're plenty of other free radio stations that have their e-mail addresses set to accept such files.

Propagation changed markedly for the better (the skip shortened), so much so that I heard Merlin romping in with SINPO 54544
via the  Weston Super Mare SDR for about 30 minutes after tuning in, up to the arrival of Cupid on 6300. I  had tuned to 6304
in order to eradicate the mildly annoying whistle on 6305 caused by the slight squeeze from the ute on 6310. Why it was there is a mystery
to me given that 6308 USB is supposed to be a distress channel for mariners. The S meter was peaking at S9 +10 when I was recording
Merlin for Paul Watt. (Contributors to Iann's Pirate Chat had previously mentioned that the skip was shortening prior to that time.)

European Pirates and Private Stations / FRS-Holland:Update

Tomorrow repeat July 28th broadcast

Dear FRS Friends,

On July 31st we sent out a mail informing about a possible repeat of our July 28th broadcast.
That repeat was planned for last Sunday but: a faulty 5810 transmitter made us decide to
wait another week hoping the rig would be repaired in time.

The current situation is that it's most likely the rig will be repaired for tomorrow. However...most likely is nót 100%!

Anyway, the repeat will take place tomorrow Sunday August 11th.

The time schedule will be the same as it was two weeks ago: 16:52- 20:55 UTC/ 18:52- 22:55 CEST.
Frequencies: either 7700 only or (hopefully!) 7700//5810 kHz.

We are eager to hear from you either via frs@frsholland.nl or of course P.O.Box 2702, 6049 ZG Herten, The Netherlands.

In three weeks time- Sunday September 1st- FRS-Holland hopes to celebrate its 39th anniversary.
That will also be a Sunday evening broadcast. Details will follow in the final August week.

Details are still to be read on our site:
http://www.frsholland.nl/

Have a good weekend!

73s, Peter Verbruggen on behalf of the FRS crew being Jan, Roger, Mike, Dave, Brian & Bert.

What about naming it Radio Tamla, as that station has no idea about a name ?

A good idea, good sir - so I have modified the thread subject accordingly on our  behalf.

Motown music :), but no station IDs up to now. :(

Probably 'Unid' formerly on 6525 has changed frequency to avoid QRM. :)

SIO is 243 :)

Now receivable on 6525 with good mod and still playing Motown, though not the most popular tracks. However, still a good listen
for those of us, including me, into Motown.

Unfortunately there are maybe 2 utes on that frequency hampering decent reception at this time.

So, SINPO is 32333 at around 1345 my time on the 8th = 0545 UTC  on the 8th.

Received via the SDR in Lanzenhausern, Schweiz.

However, if there were reasonably frequent station IDs, I feel we would be able to copy one of them.
