From Jan at Skyline Radio Germany ....

SKYLINE RADIO GERMANY - BACK ON THE AIR IN 2020! - PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD!

IT'S ALWAYS ROCK'N'ROLL - NOTHING ELSE MATTERS!

Shortwaveradio.de kindly gave us the 5th possibility to be on air
with some brandnew shows via their transmitters in Northern Germany.

If you would like to try to catch our programmes, 6 hours
on May 30th, 2020, Saturday before Whitsun, 14.00 - 20.00 UTC
would be a good time to give us a listen again.

Try the 75 and 49 metre band shortwave on 3975 and 6160 kHz!

Let's keep fingers crossed that propagation is good again!

We received more than 40 reception reports again in December 2019 and we hope
we can be as successful as then again! So don't hesitate to write in again.

It might be a good chance for you to grab our first brand-new
2020 eQSL-card design! Attention: This one is available as eQSL-card only!

For our listeners outside of Europe: please check the various WebSDRs,
and we will verify every correct reception report with our eQSL also.

We look forward to your reception reports, criticisms and commendations to:
SKYLINE RADIO GERMANY, P.O.Box 2702, 6049 ZG Herten, The Netherlands
or via e-mail to: skylineradiogermany@web.de

Have a great time with us and Good DX,
DJ Jan-Hendrik

Thanks ... that new frequency for C292 slipped past me (and hasn't made it to Shortwave.info or the schedule app on my phone).

Mod: please move to more appropriate forum section.

Caught this while doing a band scan during a bout of sleeplessness ...

0130 documentary about offshore radio - identified as "Pop with the Pirates" at end, with "We Love the Pirate" song.
0150 Channel 292 Id (but wrong frequency mentioned), promo for "reliving the offshore era on Channel 292"
0155 Time Is Tight - Booker T & MGs
0159 Channel 292 Id / promo
0200 Hot Radio Id > unid edm music
0207 Hot Radio Id > next music

SINPO was about 33333 direct but better via Weston SDR

Guessing the docu / C292 ids were an old show, maybe the "Hot Radio" was a replay / relay as well?

Assuming Euro based on signal strength although seems a strange time for a euro broadcast  (can't have had a big audience), so maybe a test ?

I think FAV22 is the French Military morse training facility - which would probably explain the slow speed and clear text.

There is some info here ... http://www.numbersoddities.nl/M51-profile.pdf

Your logging would match the noted Sunday schedule (assuming document still up to date).

"I worked briefly for the original station in 1983. "

Stations like Nova and Sunshine from Ireland as well as the MW Merseyside stations like Merseyland Alternative Radio and Radio Jackie North were my introduction to free radio in the early 80's. I may well have listened to you back in the day.

"Anyone know what "Spring Festival" is?"

Another name for the Chinese New Year.  There is also an "Autumn Festival" to celebrate the harvest later in the year. Like most Chinese festivals they are based on the lunar calendar so (western) dates vary. The Autumn Festival is 1 Oct this year.

Broadcast Announcements / FRS Holland Test 15-Mar-2020
« on: March 14, 2020, 1416 UTC »
email from FRS Holland ...

This Sunday March 15th FRS-Holland will be conducting two tests.
Test #1 willl be between 10:00- 11:00 UTC/ 11:00- 12:00 CET on either 7700, 7705 or 7715 kHz and in parallel on 5800 or 5810 kHz
Test #2 will be at 17:00 UTC/ 18:00 CET. Frequencies will be the same.
We are curious about signal strength and audio quality and loudness of the modulation.

It's a conscious choice to test at two different time slots as propagation in the (late) morning and late afternoon is clearly different!
We are hoping on a good number of reports! Thanks in advance.
FRS hopes to be back on Easter Sunday April 12th.

« on: February 22, 2020, 2032 UTC »
My schedules app has St Peterburg at 05 & 35 mins past hour and Rostov at 25 and 55 mins past hour, which would make St Peterburg the more likely.

Haven't got St Peterburg yet here but do got Rostov pretty regularly.
