Came on at 2244 with S9 signal. Sounding good into SW FL. Started with Led Zeppelin- "Whole Lotta Lovin'"
Says getting ready to play All Along the Watchtower by Hendrix soon.

Tuned in at about 0220 to sirens and music. The sirens went off at 0225. Maybe 80 meters opened up and he went there to play. Good signal s9 into SW FL, thanks for the show.

I just caught the end of an instrumental guitar track went off the air at 0431. Signal was about s5. Hope it comes back, nothing heard for 3 min though now.

I caught that one too. Lots of French and Spanish speaking stations from the Carribean/ West Indies. I heard a few on 27.385 LSB, but more abd bigger signals in the freeband with about a 50/50 mix of USB and LSB. I also heard Costa Rica on 28.395 USB

Hearing some guys chatting, in English, several mentions of shrimp heard. Good copy in SW FL. Now mentioned onions, talking about dinner.

Just prior i heard possibly the same guys on 7003 kHz LSB until some angry ham put a carrier on that freq

Does the mode of the signal have any effect? SSB signals are a bit more difficult than AM/FM since the signal strength drops between words/syllables. -Justin

Got something there in AM but too weak to ID. Did hear an SSTV go out but not at home to decode. Carrier dropped off after that. 222 copy.

Hearing some guys chatting it took me a minute to identify the language as English with the heavy accents. One guy said "i look like Don King wit ma hair"

About 333 copy in the mobile from SWFL. Might be back quiet now.

Good copy here in SW FL. Lots of OTHR though. Just caught an SSTV now playing "Mechanical Malfunction" by Tore Fagerheim. 444 on the FT 891 &102" whip in the car. Thanks for the show!
