After failed attempts to contact "Aleutian 1" the United States Coast Guard Command (CommCom) from Chesapeake, Virginia transmitted a warning to mariners to keep out of the area of military operations near Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where they are recovering pieces of the Chinese balloon which transited the continental US and Canada last week. EDIT: Also there appears to be some encrypted traffic on 5696khz.

TEAL71 a WC-130J Hercules "Hurricane Hunter" from the 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron in communication with San Francisco was denied clearance to drop weather instruments.

San Francisco: "Flight level 290, Drops are per your mission, we do not clear aircraft to drop, you are over a Bravo airspace and we are not sure mission is clear to do so there."

This one is a rare catch for me out here in Seattle. I don't think I've ever heard it on 5450 but at least one time I logged it on 11253 twice. Someone here said then that he thought it was going over the pole.

I first picked this up on my SDR and antenna very faintly and then tried to find a web SDR which would bring it in with a stronger signal and found that SDRs in Japan and South Korea could copy it well. So I was doing some experimenting with my loop antenna seeing how sensitive it was at the very very low frequency end of my SDR and first tuned in WWVB on 60 khz and noticed this signal not far away, it sounded a lot like the Jim Creek US Navy submarine transmitter in nearby Arlington, WA which is very strong here on 24.8 khz but this signal was weaker. So I did a quick google and found it is indeed a US Navy submarine transmitter site but located on the Awase Peninsula in Okinawa City, Japan. I never heard it before when i've done these tests and it only showed up when i rotated my loop by about 170 degrees.

FEMA station WGY 908 (FEMA Region 8, Denver) called WGY 912 (FEMA Special Facility, Mt. Weather) for a radio check. WGY 908 also called another WGY station but a static crash prevented me from hearing the number for another radio check.

i've been monitoring and recording this for the 10 mins or so and looked up the frequency and ran across this post: http://mt-milcom.blogspot.com/2006/06/valiant-shield-2006.html which seems to indicate the frequency is a US Navy one.

EDIT: the comms are hard to copy but i'm recording them in hopes of getting a callsign. one callsign sounded like "Trumpet Blower".
EDIT 2: callsign was Lima Tango. also heard Gulf Whiskey, Delta Foxtrot, Romeo Tango, Quebec Romeo, Vampire and...
Cougar 31 which i believe is this: COUGAR EA-18G VAQ-139, NAS Whidbey Island, WA
EDIT 3: "We're engaging Delta birds, over"
EDIT 4: Now with Audio. i cut out most long pauses between transitions. Highlights around 15:15 in: "Gulf Whisky this is Delta track Romeo Tango 311  .... Can you please identify" followed by "Gulf Whisky all positively identified....authenticated IR... hostile.. authenticated time 2240 Quebec Romeo over. " and then "Gulf Whiskey this is Delta track Romeo Tango 336...reengaging." and "Gulf whiskey this is Delta Cougar 31 RTB safe red, maintain comms until RTB" followed by more comms
