Currently maxing out at about S4 here. Heard the Garcia cover of Dear Prudence ending at around 2323 UTC and then into an UNID song. Bowie "Changes" noted at 2326 UTC. Zevon's ""Lawyers, Guns and Money" at 2332 UTC.

Carrier popped up at 2130 UTC. Very nice S9 signal and good audio, too. B-52's "Channel Z" at 2138 UTC. Repeat of the dead punks tribute show.

Shortwave Broadcast / UNID 7900 KHz AM 2036 UTC 11/25

Noted a carrier at about 2030 UTC on 7900 KHz AM, perhaps with slightly low audio, and playing what I would describe as Caribbean style music although I could be a little off on that. It was about S7 but then fell down towards S1 or S2. Carrier still can be noted at 2037 UTC with bits of audio. No matches in EIBI for this frequency.

Tune in at 1404 UTC with a nice S7-S8 signal; moderate fading but very easy copy. The usual electronic music format. Many clear IDs, including at 1407 UTC. Off at 1411 UTC.

Peaking at a solid S9 at 1438 UTC, and a little less fading than yesterday morning, but still some. Punk mx.

EAM "WHATSUMTHEDEAL" and then "SULFURIC, OUT!"

Good S7 signal.

Yes, I believe He Man always said that USB was the "manliest of all modes". Wish I had caught this one.

Still peaking at S9 here with some fades. "People Who Died" by Jim Carroll at 1527 UTC and then into the B-52's "Channel Z" again.

Off at 1533 UTC.

Announcer again at 1443 UTC stating that a lot of punk artists died early and that he wanted to do this show as a tribute to them.

Channel Z noted with a real nice carrier at 1429 UTC. Various music, including B-52's "Channel Z" and then an ID by the announcer at 1440 UTC saying he'd play punk music. S9 at first but starting to take some fades.

I had it too, with an S9 signal in AM before the switch to SSTV. Played a mashup of weird music until 0217 UTC (11/23). The SSTV image posted above looks like previous Insane Radio SSTV caps.

Utility / 11175 KHz USB logs for 11/21/2012
« on: November 21, 2012, 1334 UTC »
Stuck at work on a very slow day, so listening to one of the rigs remotely. What's better than some milair? I'll update this thread with additional logs. All are 11175 KHz USB.

1329 UTC: HAVOC 95 with a phone patch to his wife via OFFUTT. Told her when they would be landing, and she briefly put a young child on the phone. Pilot told his kid he couldn't talk now.

1363 UTC: REACH 1013 with phone patch request, but missed the phone patch itself due to getting distracted.

1452 UTC: KRAUT calling BUZZARD several times; no joy.

1549 UTC: ANIMOSITY calling MAINSAIL looking for a signal check.

1093
About S5 with Sneaker Pimps at 0110 UTC, and then someone fired up with SSTV right on top.

- 0207 UTC: SKULL 23 (B-52H) calling ANY STATION for a radio check.
- 0209 UTC: SKULL 23 calling SKULL 24 for a radio check. SKULL 24 briefly tunes up and replies. Both have each other loud and clear. Both are very loud at my location, too.
