At best, an S1, but mostly I can't copy it. Pretty sure I may have heard an ID at 1830z, and then some kind of TV show theme song, but I kind of suck at identifying those...

There was a probable ID at 0048 but modulation was down and noise was up, so I missed it.

6925 AM is loud here at 0046z. Easily S9+10. Music is kind of Jack White sort of thing, but not Jack White. Closest thing I can compare it too though.

Neat, thanks for the link, I hadn't seen that transmitter before. The obvious advantage it has over the SSTRAN unit is the digital frequency tuning. With the SSTRAN you have to tune with dip switches. I guess it probably really doesn't matter that much, though, since you won't be retuning all that much.

It's fun to speculate about what goes into an operation but I'd just sit back and enjoy the show. Trying to sniff around might spook the operator off the air. My 2 cents anyways.

Yeah, no doubt, it would be a hefty vertical. The choice of 920 is definitely and interesting one. Moving up towards 1710 opens up potential DX reception, but this would come with a lot more risk. I'm assuming that 920 is a pretty clear frequency in your area. If so, it's a good option for staying below the radar.

Equipment / SSTran AMT5000 mediumwave transmitter

I was browsing around and found that SSTRAN is now selling a new transmitter, called the AMT5000:

Years ago I built one of the AMT3000 kits and it was fun and easy to put together. Works amazingly well for around the house and neighborhood broadcasting. The AMT5000 looks like a nice step up. The owner of SSTRAN is really responsive.

Has anyone built one of these yet? Looks like it would be a fun winter project.

It's possible he's using a vertical, which would not require any significant real estate.

Another ID at 0222z with a mention of a parallel operation on 97.7 FM.

1241
"DJ Sennheiser" with another ID at 0218z and then into a request for Maroon 5. Almost sounds live. Mention of tweaking the modulation.

1242
Radio Whatever ID at 0214z with an email address of hho531@yahoo.com

Loud here in the Boston burbs. S9+10 but there is some QRM from a variety of sources... I even hear CW near here. Electronic music.

Tested this out and it actually works fantastic, just as good as a real IRC client. Nice stuff. Thanks for adding a new feature to HFU!
