Positive Rave On Radio ID at 0111 UTC. Signal is about S2 here in the Boston burbs.

If this is the same station that played The Cure 0105 UTC then, I have it too, but very weak and at the noise level. What I'm hearing now does sound like Genesis, as reported in the IRC chat room.

Clear Boombox Radio ID at 2333 and back into another electro tune. Signal is S8, peaks to S9, moderate fading and QRM from peskies who seem to have taken up permanent residence on 6925 LSB.

Duran Duran "Rio" ending around 0210 and then DJ Dick Weed with an announcement. Then into Stereo Fuse "Everthing" at 0211. A very nice (and improved) S9+20 signal here in the Boston burbs. Thanks RFW!

Is this really regional? Sounds like it's a national thing.

Maybe some building inspectors will ignore this but I gotta imagine the supply chain is heavily weighted towards the low flush thing so it's probably tough to get a water bomber unless it's vintage, like someone else here was saying.

General Radio Discussion / Re: My Antenna ?

You made your antenna elements out of RG-58?

Doesn't surprise me. What does surprise me is that Pop Comm has outlived MT. In recent years, despite the cheap black and white format, MT was superior in content at the technical and informational level. Pop Comm is essentially 12 issues a year of a Gordon West doll in different poses. Puff pieces, for sure. It's sad, and I admire people for keeping these things going on as long as they have, but they are really not viable businesses in this day and age and it shouldn't surprise anyone here.

Nice S9 signal with Pearl Jam at 0051 UTC and then an ID. Sounds nice tonight!

It's actually AM mode and is a repeat of the Radio Echo One shows that were earlier on 6920.9 AM. Very tough copy here now. Some quick peaks to S8 but then long dives into the static.

Signal slowly fading. Down to S5-S7 at 0003 UTC (7/13) with audio getting harder to pull out of the static.

Echo One sign on at 2340 UTC and then into music. Very strong S9 signal here.

Strapping S9+20 signal here with a kind of ambient-electro-chill tune at 0108. Then off?

The "yeah, yeah, yeah" bit IS a hallmark of Insane Radio. Carrier is still on. Maybe we will get the SSTV confirmation.

I also thought it sounded like He Man Radio the first time, but disregarded that as plausible for some reason (mainly the format). Second time around it sounded like "Hitland Radio" or something. It's read just a little too fast.  ??? Maybe it really was He Man Radio but the format is nothing like the original He Man Radio.
