I also heard this, but not make out the whispered ID. It was S1 here.

About S7 here with the preamps on. Not bad. Here's a clip:

I had OFFUTT reading a message for VASE, and then VASE appeared on frequency and asked for a repeat. You can hear a clip here:

S9 here in the Boston burbs. Red Mercury Labs ID at 0258 UTC and then off.

Very good S9 here in the Boston burbs tonight.

892
Sounds like The Cult at 2148 UTC. Modulation might be a little low.

I have this, too, at 2135 UTC. I can hear country western style music on it. It's maybe S1 or S2.

I believe I heard another example of these comms just now, at 2033 UTC and this time on 6945 KHz USB. Two Russian guys talking quickly to each other and possibly some kind of end-of-transmission (roger) tone. They were on only briefly, and then off.

Given that AM/FM receivers can now be implemented with just a single IC and a couple other components, and that these parts are extremely cheap and ubiquitous, I don't really see this happening any time soon either.

Mr. XFM, I only mentioned Radio 1 because the only place I've ever heard The Streets is on Rob Da Bank's Radio 1 show, which is excellent BTW. Once a week show that is great for finding new music that I bet you'd like:

Playing The Streets at 0226 UTC. Announcer must be a Radio 1 fan.

Computer voice explaining the C-QUAM system over ambient electro music (nice!) at 0210 UTC. Very good S9 signal here.

899
"All Along the Watchtower Radio" male computer voice ID several times at sign-on and then into a boogie-woogie style rock song. Very nice S9+10 signal.

900
"Voice of Alex relayed by SDF1 Radio" ID by male computer voice at 0023 UTC. Nice signal here, S9 solid. Don't recognize any of the songs.
