UNID 6955 AM 0048 UTC 2 AUG 2022
« on: August 02, 2022, 0050 UTC »
0048 UTC Unid genre of music....bit of electronica or synthesizer rock?
Signal is just above the noise floor....best in USB to avoid RFW on the low side.
0051 UTC Jazzy rock ambient music?
0053 UTC Different song now
0055 UTC "No One To Depend On"-Santana  8) Hmmm....I requested this one earlier from CNR! 2 plays on different stations for one request is a first for me! LOL.....
0101 UTC "One of These Days"-Ten Years After (Now that is really cool! 2 in a row!)
0107 UTC Scottie1 SSTV (Now that sure looks familiar!)

0108 UTC "Generation Landslide"-Alice Cooper (Thanks.....got the pirate hat trick on that one!)
0113 UTC OFF

Thanks whoever! I think that was a first for me! Also, my avatar is a composite image of 2 old SSTV's received here from Wolverine and Pee Wee...so it's an SSTV of some SSTV's! The pirate beat goes on!

Here's a link to my lousy recording of the show. Used USB as RFW on 6950 USB was a wideband signal. Interestingly the SSTV using USB came out pretty good!

Once again you beat me by moments!  Deleting my duplicative post now....

~0044 UTC: Saw this in the waterfall but thought it was part of the 6950 USB signal
0057 UTC: Coming in stronger (but still <S2) and can make out music (blues?).  Definitely an AM signal but losing the lower side lobe into the 6950 USB transmission.
0101 UTC: faded into QRN
LOG/NE-SW unterminated BOG/DJ-130/800Mhz Yagi
AFEDRI SDR-Net ICF-SC1 SDS-200 various RTL-SDR

What did Bram Stoker once say, "20 different pirates. Four transmitters" I think you just ran across the proof, Skip.

Indeed! Ya gotta love pirate radio for all it's warts and whistles Pigmeat! I am sure there are at least 5 pirates with real rigs though....maybe 6 if you count the ones sitting in mothballs waiting for that magic day.......and go figure on this many pirates on a Monday night!

33442 in AM due to Radio Free Whatever on 6950.  USB was 35443 on a really noisy evening.  Broadcast ended at 0113.
