WMBR 6370 AM 2024 UTC 5 Aug 2022
« on: August 05, 2022, 2025 UTC »
S7 with the Northwest Ireland KiwiSDR. Much better S9 with the GB3WB KiwiSDR in the UK. Some distortion in the audio. Bad QRM from the station that I noticed at 2039 UTC (I think it was on before this, just weaker).

2024 UTC-Talk in English
2027 UTC-ID as an FM station, must be a relay
2034 UTC-Way Down Yonder In New Orleans by Freddy Cannon
2036 UTC-Soldier Boy by The Shirelles
2039 UTC-Another station now operating on the same frequency
2040 UTC-Ahab The Arab by Ray Stevens (still severe QRM from the other station)
2042 UTC-Name of the song from 2036 UTC
2043 UTC-OFF
2044 UTC-Back on, talking
2045 UTC-ID as KFRC, advertisements mentioning San Diego, 610 KFRC ID, mention of California
2046 UTC-Angel by Madonna, talk by female over the music about and countdown and a few hours of rock & roll
2048 UTC-KFRC jingles
2049 UTC-Advertising for programs on the station
2051 UTC-No Particular Place To Go by Chuck Berry
2054 UTC-Talk and ID by male DJ
2055 UTC-Along Came Jones by Ray Stevens
2058 UTC-Runaway by Del Shannon
2100 UTC-WMBR marine broadcasters station identification and email address wmbrmarinebroadcasters@hotmail.com
2101 UTC-The Man's Too Strong by Dire Straits
2108 UTC-Talk in Dutch, name of the last song
2109 UTC-Candles by Chris Rea
2113 UTC-Talk in Dutch, name of the last song, mention of Radio Caroline and Radio London
2114 UTC-Recording of Radio London sign off and talk about Radio London being back on air with a license, sounds like it is from an old program (documentary?)
2116 UTC-Talking about Radio Caroline and other offshore stations (also sounds like from a documentary)

While it was off I could hear the QRMing station and it sounds like an Asian station. No signal on Asian KiwiSDR’s though.

Looks like KFRC 610 AM no longer exists so this is a recording being played.

Songs are identified with Shazam if needed. I usually use KiwiSDR receivers. Reception from my QTH is using an SDRPlay RSP1A for SWL with a 40 meter band Inverted V at 40 feet. Kenwood TS-570D for ham use.

2105 "Lady lay", 2109 DJ in D, mentions the Zeezenders event, music, Chinese QRM again

marinebroadcasters@hotmail.com is the right one for eQSL

Thank you for the correct email. I have already sent a reception report to that one and never heard from them. I thought I heard wmbrmarinebroadcasters@hotmail.com this time but with the level of QRM there is a high chance I was am wrong.
