Sprockets 6880 AM 2302 UTC 26 August 2022
« on: August 26, 2022, 2303 UTC »
SINPO 34333 on an SDR in Ohio.

2303 - Dance music. "Stand at attention for transmission!" in a reasonable German accent.
2307 - ID. "You are listening to Schprockets. East Germany's most exciting dance party."
2312 - Announcement between songs but missed it because there was too much fading and QRN. Agree with Alleycat; could stand to turn up the audio a bit.
2323 - "Sprockets. Brought to you by the Pirate Radio Relay League" (?)
2332 - Madonna
2339 - Dieter and Claus in the studio.
2353 - Two of Hearts
2356 - "Ja. You are listening to Schprockets..(something)..We are going to signoff now."
2357 - SSTV. Four images sent but I was only in a position to receive one of them.

0005 - Off

Possible ID at 2308: "You are listening to ??? Eastern? Dance Party". Carrier measures up to S9+20 above an S7 noise floor, but audio level is not as audible as would be expected from a signal this strong (the static crashes don't help); signal is also fading down to S9 at times.

Yes, of course. I had Dana Carvey's face in mind when I was transcribing the words.

Tuned in at 2325utc on Brookfield IL sdr with very weak S7 signal, barely hear music under the mud,
Drake R8, Kenwood R-2000, Panasonic RF-4900, Sony 2010, Realistic DX440, Grundig Satellit 500, 7mhz backyard dipole, Mt Prospect, IL 20miles (32km) NW of downtown Chicago. I have been using online receivers because of strong data hash interference in my neighborhood that I believe is caused by Uverse squeezing up to 100mb/sec through ordinary pairs of wires. I don't have Uverse but neighbors do. williamhassig@yahoo.com
