FWD from Boomer:   https://recnet.com/node/3601      and      http://wide-fm.com/      Now, will this actually help-out LPFM´ers and even Part #15´ers? I doubt it, especially with the 800lbs gorilla called The NAB in there.
I was asked, yet another weird question, of how I would like to be buried, when I finally bite the big one. The answer was actually pretty easy. Face-down, like a certain historical figure in the late 1980's, (I will not mention who, but some of you will get it, and that's enough.) Why??? It would be a burial that will satisfy everyone: (1) My enemies will say that it will show me where to go. (2) On the same point, I can have my enemies kiss my butt. (3) It will temporarily give someone a place to park a bicycle. See??? A WIN / WIN for everyone.

I wouldn't mind seeing some C-QUAM testing on those frequencies with nice, wide bandwidth. Maybe 76-78 could be for C-QUAM and 78-88 for FM.

On the other hand, go further down the VHF TV band (54-72, 76-88 MHz) as TV doesn't seem to be there much these days (none around these parts). This band can & does skip at times, therefore allocate stations accordingly.

Well, I certainly wouldn´t mind seeing C-QUAM Stereo on that band as well. S/N Ratio would be better. Heck... I also wouldn´t mind TV audio specs there as well, MTS. Narrower bandwidth, than traditional FM, which could add to more station channels. The hell with Ibiquity´s digital HD Radio specs. However, DRM seems to be making headway, and could be a try.

If we're going to go that far, might as well resurrect OIRT's polar FM as well...
