RRI Nabire 7290 AM 2320 UTC 30 SEP 2022
« on: September 30, 2022, 2326 UTC »
I was just reading this article https://www.wwdxc.de/topnews.shtml
I find it very interesting that it says RRI Nabire (west Papua) is back on the air! The times when people are hearing it are very late at night here (when I am sleeping) but I thought I would post this to make people aware of this new Indonesian station. This is barely a logging but a super weak carrier is visible on the waterfall of the Jakarta, Indonesia KiwiSDR at 7289.94 kHz. CNR 1 is S7 on 7290.00

Songs are identified with Shazam if needed. I usually use KiwiSDR receivers. Reception from my QTH is using an SDRPlay RSP1A for SWL with a 40 meter band Inverted V at 40 feet. Kenwood TS-570D for ham use.

Pro 1 RRI Nabire (7289.93), with the usual format of mostly non-stop EZL songs on Oct 1, except 0847-0858 UT with Qur'an;
tuned out at 0920.

Thank you Ron! I let a recording run on the Kyoto, Japan KiwiSDR over night and I recorded it. I checked at the times you say the Quran programming was on and I think I hear it there (very weak at that part of the recording, improved later on). That confirms that is what I recorded.

The non-stop reciting of the Qur'an via RRI Nabire, seems to be a daily feature from about 0847 to 0858 UT.
It is their most distinctive segment! My audio - https://app.box.com/s/2wmcpquf3y7avrf9h9wo382l5c040jt3 .
