VHF Low October 2022
« on: October 14, 2022, 1645 UTC »

11 meters and 10 meters have been going nuts recently.  I wanted to share some of the "above 29.7 MHz" or above 30 MHz loggings:

29.780 MHz - 29780 kHz - FSK signal, noted during previous band openings
29.800 MHz - 29800 kHz - POCSAG pager - UK or European paging signals 29.8 MHz 29.80 FM
29.850 MHz - 29850 kHz - POCSAG pager - UK or European paging signals 29.85 MHz 29.85 FM
29.900 MHz - 29900 kHz - POCSAG pager - UK or European paging signals 29.9 MHz 29.90 FM
29.950 MHz - 29950 kHz - POCSAG pager - UK or European paging signals 29.95 MHz 29.95 FM
29.967 MHz - 29967 kHz - 29.996 MHz USB - FSK signal center frequency 29.997 MHz

30.000 MHz - 30.000 FM - POCSAG pager - unknown source/origin (heard on US KiwiSDRs, UK KiwiSDRs and locally)
30.020 MHz - 30.020 FM - POCSAG pager, noted on this frequency and on 30.025 MHz
30.025 MHz - 30.025 FM - Presumably the same source, offset frequency (that, or 30.02 MHz is the offset)
30.290 MHz or maybe 30.2875 MHz?  30.2875 - POCSAG Pager, heard on 14 October via N1NTE KiwiSDR
30.580 MHz - 30.580 FM - Construction / business comms
30.775 MHz - 30.775 FM - Weak FM signals...presumably military or non-US business users 30.775 FM
31.000 MHz - 31.000 FM - Spanish language, sounds like taxi cab dispatcher
31.100 MHz - 31.100 FM - Military comms, 31.1 FM - Canadian accents?
31.120 MHz - 31.120 FM - Van Pool Transportation (repeater system) 31.12 MHz FM
32.020 MHz - 32.020 FM - Paging signal, heard on my handheld scanner with 27 MHz CB antenna
32.025 MHz - 32.025 FM - Paging signal, probably the correct frequency (or offset, like 30.02 MHz and 30.025 MHz)
32.200 MHz - 32.200 FM - UNID Spanish language chatter, probably business land mobile activity
U.S. East Coast, various HF/VHF/UHF radios/transceivers/scanners/receivers - land mobile system operator - focus on VHF/UHF and 11m
