Funky conditions tonight. I've been following the funny bands all evening via SDRs in Georgia and Penisylvania. Wildly erratic conditions between the two, although some of that might be due to rx antennas.

Anyway, I just dragged my neglected Palstar R30C out of the closet, tossed some junk wire up across the planter hooks in the ceiling, and after about 15 minutes 6960 popped into audibility despite the heavy blanket of city RFI here. Not strong, but enough to copy Jackson Browne, Ball Smacker ID, and CCR Bawn on duh Bayou around 0200 UTC.

Very peaky/fadey here, but not terrible for a bit of junk wire on the ceiling.

0245z Warren Zevon? SSTV, Ball Smacker ID, Wildfire. Toward the end, signal was a bit stronger here with an indoor antenna than a couple of SDRs with good outdoor antennas. Funky propagation.

I might be motivated to find a spot for the Palstar again and build another indoor loop.

"Mannish Boy" by Muddy Waters then the Standells w/ "Dirty Water". The vertical is weaker than the wire last night on the same tunes via the same PA. SDR and antenna.

"Waterloo" could you have given the QSL fanboi's a bigger hint on the show's theme?

Sounds like Talking Heads or at least Tina Weymouth playing bass, very weak.

As to the theme....I was puzzled over "From the Beginning" by Emerson, Lake, and Palmer until I had a eureka moment with "Lake" (Duh....a body of water!). I always regarded Greg Lake's songwriting as the superior of the trio.....
QSL's to poorbrookking >at< aol.com are greatly appreciated! All reception and postings using My radio, My antenna, and generally in real time(excluding posting of SSTV images!).

I didn't know they wrote songs? I figured Keith Emerson told Lake and Palmer, "Try to keep up." and that was that.

Interesting experiments with the modes and antennas BSR.
You got a good thing going only I wish you would get away from the Wolverine Radio "Theme" thing and come up with your own style.
But good job with your station, stick with AM!
