Just as moi is about to post the signal disappears...It's back now...goin' to the bedroom for closer listening in...gone again-back again, weaker signal...must have a loose antenna connection...   :(

Wasn't sure if it was a loose connection or just plain weird conditions.

The bands went nuts after dark when the equinox hit this year. The short, after dark propagation phenomena is something with the solar cycle that occurs every few years. It seems to be tied to low sunspots, but I'm not a real astronomer, I just make wild guesses here based on what I've read elsewhere, like everyone else.
