12:55 UTC - Good S8 copy on the station with Chinese broadcast;
12:59 UTC - Time pips;
13:00 UTC - Station ID followed by start of programming then went off the air.

Notes:
(1) A very faint; weak unreadable station could be heard on this frequency after the transmitter was switched at 13:00 UTC. This may be the same station but with a change of antenna beam direction or may be in fact SOH Xi Wang Zhi Sheng.

(2) The EiBi database has this labelled as CNR1 and the Short-Wave database labels it as SOH Xi Wang Zhi Sheng.

You were hearing CNR1 from 1255 to 1300 UT, which is used to jam the Sound of Hope (Taiwan) signal.
They normally stop for a brief time at the top-of-the-hour, apparently to check if the station they are
jamming is still there and then they start up jamming again. The time pips at 1300 were definitely from
CNR1, which ALWAYS has pips at ToH, while SOH NEVER has time pips at ToH. The "weak unreadable"
station you heard after CNR1 went off the air, must in fact have been SOH.

SOH has a top-of-the-hour ID of "Xiwang zhi sheng guoji guangbo diantai" (Sound of Hope international
broadcast station), given twice (once by OM and once by YL). My audio of a typical ToH SOH ID format is

and note NO TIME PIPS.

Thanks Ron, now I understand the SOH Xi Wang Zhi Sheng. I had not put 2 and 2 together, SOH being Sound of Hope.
