Channel Z 6925am 0040z 3/31/2013
« on: March 31, 2013, 0047 UTC »
Sign on at 0040z with Eumir Deodado's funky version of Also Sprach Zarathustra, strong S8-S9 signal.  B52's "Channel Z" at 0052z.

Great show tonight and solid signal throughout the broadcast.  Thanks Andy Walker and Channel Z!

6925 AM, 0443, 3/31/13.  Music, 0047 indistinct talk.  Difficult with Pescadores on LSB until a minute ago. ... now just a weak signal here.

Tuned in at 0120utc 3-31-13, fair/poor with static, 60's style British pop which is better than most music on the radio today, 20 miles (32km) NW of downtown Chicago, Kenwood R-2000 7mhz dipole.
Beginning to fade out here in Chicagoland at 0144utc. Off air at 0155½ utc. BTW, channelzradio@gmail.com

Drake R8, Kenwood R-2000, Panasonic RF-4900, Sony 2010, Realistic DX440, Grundig Satellit 500, 7mhz backyard dipole, Mt Prospect, IL 20miles (32km) NW of downtown Chicago. I have been using online receivers because of strong data hash interference in my neighborhood that I believe is caused by Uverse squeezing up to 100mb/sec through ordinary pairs of wires. I don't have Uverse but neighbors do. williamhassig@yahoo.com
