Solar Centric 6949.6 AM 0006 UTC 1 JAN 2023
« on: January 01, 2023, 0008 UTC »
Exact frequency is 6949.58 kHz. S9 with the KFS Omni KiwiSDR. The KFS Omni KiwiSDR went offline at 0013 UTC and I had to switch to the KPH-HF KiwiSDR, S9+10 there.

0007 UTC-Talking about “Truckercat” and how he lost his tail to the Mexican cartel, “all this trans-species talk gives me the creeps”, very weird story (not sure what to think of this)
0011 UTC-Make the Move by Kenny Loggins
0012 UTC-Strange story continuing
0019 UTC-Station operator giving the Solar Centric ID
0019 UTC-OFF

Songs are identified with Shazam if needed. I usually use KiwiSDR receivers. Reception from my QTH is using an SDRPlay RSP1A for SWL with a 40 meter band Inverted V at 40 feet. Kenwood TS-570D for ham use.

Wish I'd heard it. A trans-species dog built my transmitter years ago. Smartest dog and human I ever met.

My understanding is that this is a very, very low power pirate so it's no wonder that there wasn't even a trace of carrier here in CO. I went back to check my recording just to be sure.
Denver, CO.
SDRPlay RSPdx & RSP2pro, Airspy Discovery HF+, Icom IC-7100, Grundig Satellit 750, Realistic DX-300, Tecsun PL-600.
MLA-30 active loop, G5RV dipole.

That’s what I noticed as well, not even a trace of a carrier on the KiwiSDR’s I use for listening to pirates from the eastern part of North America. His claim of using 1000 watts and being in the Pacific Ocean is obviously false, but I do believe he is located on the coast near the pacific. Given that pirates running 10 watts can be heard across the continent with some audio this guy must be using <1 watt. So far I have had good signals from him on the KFS Omni KiwiSDR (California), KPH-HF KiwiSDR (California), and the Northern Utah KiwiSDR.
