Rebroadcast of CBS radio coverage during D-Day invasion 1944. Takes place as invasion is starting and nobody is sure if the rumors of the invasion are true or if it's a German trick. Strong, clear S9 signal. Very interesting listening. No ID yet.

Suspect an Northeast location, that's why you can't hear it Skeezix
Still going 1942 signal improving.  Sign off 1950*
According to wikepedia Richard C. Hottelet, CBS correspondent is still alive, born 1917.

Didn't hear anything from 1910 to about 1930, then starting getting a faint voice.  Not enough to ID anything.  Went away around 1950 as others have reported.
